Yes this momma is very happy to have school back in session. Savanna is excited as well to be back in school. She started 1st grade on Tuesday August 23rd. Her class is a 1st/2nd grade split class with a wonderful teacher. All of her subjects are combined with the 2nd graders except for science and social studies. For those two classes she will join with another 1st grade class. I love that right now she is referring to her friends as "my 1st grade friend, or my 2nd grade friend". She loves getting to choose either a lunch from home or eating school lunch. She hasn't complained once with having to get up early or going to bed early. We haven't had any melt downs over clothes or hair styles (knock on wood). Paige misses her while she is at school, but I've enjoyed the quiet house and the fact that I can get stuff done without being asked 50 million times "what can I do, I'm bored". Here she is on the first day of school waiting to head to the bus stop and excitedly getting on the bus.

My kids would love to ride the bus. Another year of school ahead. They are growing up. Savana looked so cute on her first day!
