On Thursday we loaded up the cars and headed up to Lake Washington to watch the Blue Angels practice for their performances that they would be doing that weekend at Sea Fair. When we lived in Washington we never made it up to Sea Fair even though we really wanted to. We found a nice little spot at Lake Washington Park where we decided to set up for the show. The girls all ran around having fun with each other while the men (Steve and Todd) enjoyed watching the planes fly over the water. The girls thought it would be fun to play beauty parlor with my hair and gave me beautiful floral decorations. After the practice was over we headed over to a little area where the kids could cool off in the water and take a little swim. The water felt very nice and I missed getting a shot, but Steve did a canon ball off the swimming platform.
On Friday Christie and I took the girls to see a darling little play "Into the Woods" that some ladies from the ward produced for the community. Little Red Riding Hood was played by our friend Jen's daugther Autumn and she did such a wonderful job. Paige's eyes were glued to the stage the entire show. After the play we grabbed some lunch and then hit up the Thurston County Fair. The girls had fun seeing the animals and getting to go on a ride at the carnival. The men went on their own adventure and that will be a whole post on it's own.
Saturday I took Savanna, Paige and Callie to the park for a play date with my cute friend Julina and her two sons Lincoln and Phoenix. It was so fun to watch the kids play and to finally see Phoenix in person. Thanks Julina for coming and meeting up with me.
