On Friday while Christie and I were out and about with the girls, Todd and Steve joined one of Todd's friends on his boat in the Hood Canal for some crabbing. They had a great time and hit it big, not like deadliest catch big, but big for them. They pulled in several full pots and came home with 10 lovely dungeness crabs for us to cook up and eat that night. Also that night at midnight Steve and Todd headed up to Seiku to do some salmon fishing for the weekend. Steve has been looking forward to this part of the trip for months and months. After running out of gas at 3:30 in the morning just outside of Forks WA, they finally arrived at their destination at about 5:00am. No sleep for these avid fishermen, they launched the boat and went to work on catching the big ones. By 11:00 am each morning they had their limits in the boat. Steve caught some nice pinks, silvers and 1 really nice (20 lbs) king salmon. On Monday as Steve was heading back to Lacey, he was able to meet up with our friend Kurt for a few minutes in Forks and he was heading to do some fishing with another friend. There is nothing like fresh salmon to eat and now we have a freezer full because we couldn't leave it in Washington. I'm glad that Steve was able to get some time way and enjoy what he love to do FISH!
