Steve and I had such a great time on Saturday. Our day started out with a trip to Arrowhead Stadium and the Chiefs team store. We wanted to make sure that we knew how to get to the stadium and the pay parking lots before Sunday morning. When we walked into the team store, Steve was like a kid in a candy store! For once he saw everything Chiefs, with no Cowboys, Broncos, or 49ers to be seen. I think we probably walked every inch of the store at least 5 or 6 times trying to decide what to purchase. We walked out of there with a Derrick Thomas jersey, a tshirt for Steve, a tshirt for myself, a cozy blanket, a cute sweatshirt for Paige, a beanie and silly bands for Savanna. After our purchases, we decided to take the tour of the stadium for $10 a person. Because it was the day before the game, the NFL doesn't allow the tour to be taken of the team locker rooms. The players personal belongings are in them so to protect their privacy and their stuff we couldn't go in the locker room. You will see from the pictures that we were able to see just about every inch of the stadium. We got to go down onto the field, through the tunnel that the teams run out of. We sat up in the press box, we went into the room where Todd Haley does his press conference after the games. We went through the Chiefs Hall of Fame where we saw the Lambardi trophy from the Chiefs Superbowl IV victory. There was a nice tribute to Lamar Hunt the founder/owner of the team. All of the tour was really fun, and would take forever to share with you here on the blog. If you'd like to hear more, you'll just have to call Steve or myself for the details. Here is just a sampling of the pictures taken while on the tour.
