So our trip started out on Friday morning heading to the airport. As we were walking to our gate, we ran into an old friend from Washington. It was great to have a minute to chat with Daren before we headed out of town. Most of our day was spent traveling from Salt Lake to Denver then on to Kansas. Once we arrived in Kansas and got to the rental car joint we were lucky to get a sweet upgrade on our car. For only $5 more bucks a day we went from driving around in a Ford Focus to driving in a Ford Mustang GT 5.0. Steve was already in heaven and couldn't wait to get behind the wheel and feel the speed. We plugged in the gps and headed towards our hotel to get checked in. Funniest thing about our hotel, it was literally right off the interstate, no off ramp, just got off on the shoulder and pulled in the parking lot. After getting checked in we headed off to go meet up with my cousin Kristen and her family for dinner. We met at a fun little plaza that has about a gazillion stores and restaurants. It was great to see Kristen, Brian and Connor again. The wait was long, but the food worth it once we finally got to eat. It was so nice to just sit and chat with Kristen and Brian, when they were in town for Thanksgiving they both were feeling a little under the weather so we didn't get to talk much. So getting to spend a few hours with them was wonderful. After dinner we walked around for a few minutes then we said our goodbyes and headed back to our hotel. We needed our rest for the many adventures that were awaiting us on Saturday.

I'm so jealous that you got to go to Kansas and visit Kristen! It looks like they were all feeling better by that time. Thanks for posting pics, it's so fun to see everyone!
