July is Almost Over

I have been such a flake lately with our blog.  I am constantly taking pictures on the iPad and forget to update the blog with them.  So today I actually plugged the iPad into the computer and downloaded all the pictures.  Since my last post was clear back in April many things have taken place in our family.  The girls finished up their year of school, Savanna was awarded for her 100% attendance and Paige graduated from preschool and is ready for kindergarten. 

 

We spent our first weekend out of school in the mountains with family. We enjoyed boating at East Canyon and yummy food.  The last weekend in May we were invited to join our friends Das and Sue up at their family cabin near Kamas.  It was so much fun to relax and enjoy the beautiful nature we have been blessed with.  The kids (8 of them total) enjoyed playing games, fishing, riding the 4 wheeler and exploring the outdoors. We stayed up way too late and the kids woke us up way too early each day but it was a wonderful get away.

 

June found us spending lots of time on the boat and hitting up the swimming pool a couple times a week.  Paige mastered her bike without training wheels and loves going on bike rides with Savanna round the block.  We also celebrated Barrett's 2nd birthday.  It's crazy to think that my baby is 2 years old.  He is such a silly boy that makes us all smile and giggle whenever he is around.  He loves his big sisters and wants to follow them wherever they go.  He thinks that he is big like them and hates it when he can't do the same things that they are doing.

 

July has been another month of boating and swimming fun.  We love having 2 lakes so close for us to go out on whenever we want.  Savanna and I got to attend the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square's Pioneer Concert featuring Santino Fantana.  It was such a fun evening shared with Savanna's BFF Julia and her mom Tami.  Steve had his first experience with scout camp last week. He has also spent the summer training for a 51 mile bike ride that will take place the end of August.  It's hard to believe that school will be starting in less than a month.  Barrett is not going to know what to do with his sisters gone for a few hours every day.
