Blueberries and a NEW cast

Savanna and I have had some fun this week during the warm weather. On Tuesday, we went to a blueberry farm and picked 6 pounds of berries between the two of us. I am sure that Savanna ate about a pound by herself while picking, but she had fun doing it. I had already picked 4 pounds last week for our young women's activity, so I have lots of blueberries in my freezer. They are so yummy, and I don't mind if Savanna asks to eat them instead of candy. Showing you how she likes to eat them Look at all those berries! YUM YUM!!!
We also went to the orthopedic dr again today. After removing the lovely pink cast, they took an xray and the bones are healing. But just to be safe and to continue to support the fragile bones right now, they put another cast back on. She will be wearing it for 3 weeks and then we sould be done. When they asked Savanna what color she wanted this time, she didn't really know, so they brought out samples of all the colors they had to choose from. As you will see in the next couple of pictures, she chose a very bright color. Mom tried to convince a different one, but she had her mind set. After our appointment we went to a play date with three other friends. Oh what fun the four girls had playing dress up and with all the toys. Mom enjoyed the adult conversation, and the fact that Savanna had someone other to play with than just me. After our play date, we went out on the boat with Steve and did a little salmon fishing. We had a couple good bites, but the darn fish spit out the hooks right as they got up to the boat. Oh well, we had a good time anyways. Let's see if this thing will glow in the dark
