December 2012 Wrap Up

December is almost over and I've had every intention of doing posts but with the holidays and crazyness going on I never got around to them.  So this post will be a condensed version of our December.  Paige is loving preschool and playing with her sister & brother.  She would go to Grandma Call's house everyday if we would let her.  She had fun at her school Christmas party and got lots of cute gifts from her friends.  Savanna is loving 2nd grade and would rather play with friends than do chores and homework.  She is becoming quite the piano player as well. She is such a wonderful helper with Barrett and always willing to hold him so I can get things done.  Barrett is growing up so fast.  He loves to laugh at his sisters and dad.  He has begun to eat rice cereal and is enjoying that he gets to sit at the table with us for meals.

The girls enjoyed an afternoon with Gramma Mary and their cousins decorating cookies.  Mom, Dad and Barrett enjoyed visiting with Rick, Ambur, cousin Ashley, Rebecca and Aundrey while they were away.  We then went with Aunt Becca and cousin Raquel to Ogden's Christmas Village to see the lights.  It was a fun evening for the girls to spend time with their cousin.

We had a fun Call family Christmas party at mom's house.  This year our theme was Denmark so our meal's menu consisted of food that the Danish would eat.  Presents just kept coming as we all received pajama pants that Grandma sewed for each family.  Aunt Kamy spent countless hours working on the most amazing gift for all of us.  She took shirts of dad's and created a quilt for each family, each unique in their own way.  She also sewed pillow cases for all the girls.  I know our girls loved them and came home that night and put them to use.  We are truly blessed to have such talent sharing members of our family.

Christmas Eve and Christmas morning were crazy at our house.  Pa and Marilyn joined us for dinner on Christmas Eve.  They spoiled our kids again this year.  Christmas morning the girls couldn't wait to rip into their presents.  We will be forever grateful to the Secret Santa that helped us provide a good Christmas for our girls.  I think they were excited for all their gifts but Savanna was most excited about her "American Girl doll" (Target version).  She plays with her every day.  Paige's favorite gift is probably her My Little Pony's that she got.  Barrett loves all of his toys and is getting good at moving them from one hand to the other.  Steve and I are super excited to use our panini press that we received, but I think the new pillows for our bed were greatly received.  After the mayhem of presents at home, we headed over to Aunt Becca and Uncle Landon's for breakfast and more gifts.  The kids definately got spoiled once again.  We had a wonderful Christmas with family.

Christmas night, Barrett was having a rough night sleeping.  He couldn't stop coughing, so Wednesday morning I took him to the doctor....RSV and an ear infection were the diagnoses.  Luckily it was a very minor case and he is recovering quite well.  He takes his amoxicillin really well and is getting better about his breathing treatments.  I'm grateful that Steve was able to give him a priesthood blessing to help him recover.  He has been able to sleep better each night and the coughing is slowly going away.
