KiNdErGaRtEn TiMe!

Savanna has been so excited for school to start.  She's been counting down the days for the past month.  She has enjoyed the shopping for new clothes.  She loved getting to go to back to school night to meet her teacher.  Last night you would have thought that it was Christmas Eve with the excitement that was penetrating out of her.  We set out her clothes and shoes so that we wouldn't have any battles when she woke up.  Well this morning she woke up a little to early for my liking (6:30am).  I tried to get her back to sleep, but the anticipation for todays activities were too much for her.  Savanna requested that we have pink pancakes for breakfast with strawberry milk.  Do you think my daughter likes pink?  After breakfast we got her ready for school.  For like an hour she kept asking, "is it time to go to the bus yet?"  When it finally was time she walked faster than normal.  She met her friends at the bus stop and we all patiently waited for the big yellow ride to arrive.  When it did arrive she had no hesitation to get on and find her seat.  I know that many mom's probably cry when their children head off for their first day of school.  Well not this mom!  I am so excited for her to continue her education and to make new friends.  I left shortly after the bus to head to the school for the get off the bus pictures.  Savanna got off the bus and ran over to me with a huge smile on her face.  "Mom that was the funnest thing ever" she said.  I am so glad that the first day of school started out so well for my girl.  I can't wait to hear all about her day when she gets home!

How cute, so funny to hear how excited she was for school! A.J had been a little un-sure for kindergarten, but ended up loving it~ of course :) Wish they were going to the same school so we could keep in touch!
