BIRTHDAY FUN

Savanna sure knows how to have fun for your birthday. 
She woke up bright and early on Saturday ready for her friend party.  We played musical lily pads, kiss the frog, read "Do Princess Wear Hiking Boots?", decorated prince and princess crowns.  We ate cupcakes opened presents and played outside.

After the party, Savanna couldn't wait to go on her date with daddy.  They went to the Utah Jazz/New Orleans Hornets basketball game.  For those of you that don't know, Savanna is a huge Deron Williams and Carlos Boozer fan, so for her to get to see them play was a big deal.  Steve and Savanna went to dinner before the game then headed over to the arena to see the players warm up and hang out.  I was at home and watching the pregame broadcast, when I got to see Savanna and Steve on the tv.  Of course I was recording it so that they could see themselves when they got home.  Savanna loved getting to see Jazz Bear, getting his autograph and a picture with him.  I'd like to think that she was the good luck cheerleader as the Jazz went on to win the game 106-86.

On Sunday, which was her actual birthday.  We spent the morning playing with toys from the birthday party.  That afternoon we went to church, then headed to Grandma and Grandpa Call's for our monthly family dinner.  Savanna loved getting to see her cousins, and playing outside as Grandpa took turns pushing the kids on the swings.  We were lucky to have my cute cousin Kelly and her husband Lance join us for dinner.  Kelly and my mom had just returned from a short weekend trip to Dallas to surprise Kelly's dad.  He received an Alumni award from Utah State University.  Dinner was yummy, the company was great!  Savanna got some great gifts from her aunts, uncles, cousins, grandma and grandpa.  She loved getting sung to by cousin Katelyn in Chinese.  It was a fun night, but boy was mommy glad the day was over.  2 days worth of cake and a sugar high did this mom in.  Savanna hope you had a wonderful birthday!!!
