Spring Break & Easter Fun

Last week was sure a fun one. We started off with Savanna having a Easter party at her preschool. It was a couple of hours full of games, crafts, food and fun with 20+ 3-5 year olds. I forgot to take the camera, hense that is why we have no pictures of the party. On Wednesday afternoon, we got together with Todd and Christi Carlson and their kids. We had not seen them since we moved from Washington. Savanna was so super excited to get to see Callie. They became really good friends, and she has missed her a lot. Dallin and Ashlyn their oldest children wanted to do the FlowRyder in Ogden. It is a surf and wake board simulator. It was fun watching them, and catching up with good friends. We then went to dinner with them at El Matador, one of our favorite Mexican joints. It really was a wonderful afternoon being with friends. Saturday we spent time outside because it was a beautiful day. When we came in for the evening, we decided to color our eggs. Savanna loved coloring on them before dipping them in the various colors that we had. She didn't break any as she dropped them in the water, too bad Grandma can't say the same. Of the four dozen we colored for Easter, we had only one casualty. Aunt Celeste even came down to help us out. Check out all the creations of Savanna. Easter morning was fun for Savanna. As she walked upstairs, she noticed that the Easter Bunny dropped some candy on the stairs. She then went into the front room and found her basket and the surprises that were left for her. She got a pretty new dress, new shoes, an outfit for summer, bows for her hair, and her favorite...a princess hop-scotch splash mat. She can't wait to get outside and have the water splash her as she does her hop-scotch. She then searched the house over for all the candy eggs that the Easter Bunny dropped as he was in the house. She was stumped on a couple and found them the next day, but she had fun. Steve then took her outside for a little Egg Hunt. She started out in her flip flops, but because the grass was wet, she put on her snow boots. It was a pretty cute sight watching her run around the back yard searching for the eggs. We spent Easter Sunday at Baby Thomas' blessing. He is the newest addition for my brother Greg and his wife Liz's family. It was such a beautiful day outside, the kids loved running and playing and the adults enjoyed one anothers company. We were all pretty tired when we got home. But despite being tired we had a wonderful Easter spending time with our family!
